Game rules. The rules of this game are described by Eric Bushnell’s. This game is played in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the United States. The most interesting to play with three, four and five players, although there are variants of the game with six or seven players. A deck of 32 cards is used. In this deck there are no: deuces, threes, fours, fives, sixes. There is a trump suit where the seniority of the cards follows from Junior to senior: 7, 8, 9, K, 10, T, V, V, V, V, D, D, D, D. the Remaining cards are not trump cards and their seniority is from Junior to senior: 7, 8, 9, K, 10, T. Each card is valued at a certain number of points: B – 2 points, D – 3 points, K – 4 points, 10 – 10 points, T – 11 points. Thus, there are only 120 points in the deck. The goal in the game is to score 61 or more points.
The first deliverer in the game is determined by lot, in the following games, players hand over cards in turn clockwise. The deck is shuffled thoroughly deliverer and each player is dealt equal number of cards. If 3 players play, then each player is dealt 10 cards, if 4 players play, then each player is dealt 7 cards, and if 5 players play, then each player is dealt 6 cards. The remaining two cards (or 4 cards when playing four), called “blind”, are placed in the center of the table in a closed form. Starting with the player to the left of the handler, each player declares that he takes or does not take “blind” cards. If a player takes these cards, then he plays against two other players who play in the team. Taking the “blind” cards, the player must throw off two of his unnecessary cards, which are placed in a closed form to the side and do not participate in the game anymore. If all players refuse to take “blind” cards, then there is another way to determine partners. It is called “Jack of diamonds”, the player who has this Jack, calls the suit, and the player who has an ACE of this suit, becomes a partner of the player with the Jack of diamonds. The player with an ACE can exchange his two unnecessary cards with “blind” cards. You can play without the partnership, when players agree to play on “low” and the game is played without teams where each plays for himself. After determining the game, the draw of cards (bribes) begins, the first move in the first draw belongs to the player to the left of the deliverer, the player can go to his any card, each next player clockwise, must put a card of the same suit, if there is no card of this suit, then he must put a trump card. The player who puts the highest card, takes the cards laid out (bribe) and makes the first move in the next trick. Thus, all cards are played. The player who first scores 61 or more points becomes the winner. If there are several such players, the winner is the player who has more points.
