Game rules. The rules of the game provided by Du Jing Yu, Zachary Dexter, Joe Zeng. This game is known in China as Tuo La Ji, which means “Tractor”, sometimes it is called “level up”or ” promote”. It is especially popular in Shanghai and South of the yellow river. The game is played by 4 players, where two players play against the other two players. At the initial stage, each of the pairs of players has the rank of deuce, so players need to play a number of games to get the rank of ACE. For each game won, partners receive a promotion in the rank. The game uses two or more decks (for more players). Let’s describe a game with two decks. For each deck there is one red and one black Joker. Total in the total deck of 108 cards. The aim of the game is to win as many cards (bribes) containing kings, tens and fives. Kings and tens are worth 10 points each, fives are worth five points, all other cards have no points. There are a total of 200 points in the total deck. The highest cards are red jokers, then black jokers, then trump cards of the same rank, then trump cards, then the remaining cards in descending order from ACE to deuce. For example, if sevens and clubs are trumps, the seniority is as follows from high to low: red Joker, black Joker, 7, other sevens (equal in value to each other), T, K, D, V, 10, 9, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, next, the remaining cards in descending order from ACE to deuce. In some deals there is no trump suit, in this case the only trumps are the four jokers, where the red jokers are older than the black jokers.

The first deliverer is determined by lot, in the following games, players deal cards in turn, which goes counterclockwise, as well as the draw. Deliverer carefully shuffles the deck and puts it in the center of the table in a closed form. Starting with the deliverer, each player takes a card from the top of the deck in turn counterclockwise until he has 25 cards, the remaining 8 cards continue to lie in the center of the table in a closed form. Then each player looks at his cards and begins trading.

Trade. Each pair of players, starting with the deliverer, announces the number of points that it is going to take during the draw. The pair that declares the highest number of points is considered the winner of the bidding-declarant, after which the transaction begins, in which the starter is determined, which determines the trump suit. The deliverer during the transaction goes first, puts his any card on the table in the clear and each player must put any one of his cards. The player who puts the highest card becomes the starter, the player who declares a trump suit, takes the 8 remaining cards from the table to himself, then puts any 8 unnecessary cards in their place and goes first in the draw.

Hoax. During the draw, players play another 24 deals. There are 4 types of trades where the player can enter:

  1. With any one card. A player can go with any of his cards, if it is a trump card, then other players must play a trump card, if they have one, if there is no trump card, then they must play any card. The player who puts the highest card takes the laid out cards. If two equal trumps have been played, the player who puts the trump card first takes the cards. If a player has gone from not trump card, the other players must play a card of the same suit if a card suit not, should play any of his cards, wins the player who put the highest card in the suit of the first move, if played two high cards, wins the player who first put the highest card, if the cards were laid out the trump card, the card takes the player who put this trump card.
  2. With any pair of identical cards. The player can go with two identical cards, but not equal. For example, 9, 9, but not 9, 9. When the first player came with two identical trump cards, then each player must play a pair of identical trumps, if they are, if they are not, then the player must play one trump with a non-trump card, if there are no such cards, then he must play any two cards. When the first laid out cards are not trumps, the following players must put a pair of identical cards of the same suit, if there are no such cards, any cards must be played. The player who puts the most senior cards wins all laid out cards (a bribe), if there are two such players and they have equal cards, then the one who went first wins.
  3. With sequences of pairs. The player can enter with two or more consecutive pairs of identical cards of the same suit. For example, 8, 8, 9, 9.
  4. With a set of top cards. The player can enter with a mixture of cards-a single card and a pair, provided that there are no cards of this suit remaining in the game that could defeat any of these cards. For example, T, K, K have been played, then T, D, D are valid cards for such a move.

Counting of points. The result of the game depends on the number of points won cards opponents. Possible results are shown in the table below. Players play a series of games and the first pair of players to reach the ACE rank (13) or higher becomes the winners.
